Clinical Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy is one of several treatment modalities in which I am trained. According to The Cleveland Clinic, Clinical Hypnotherapy “uses the hypnotic state, which enables changes in perception and memory, a major increase in response to suggestion, and the potential for controlling many physiological functions that are usually involuntary. Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, intense concentration and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance.”
This work does not “brainwash” or otherwise control a client’s mind, nor is it about changing a client’s behavior without explicit and conscious approval from the client. Clients are aware during their entire session.
Benefits can include:
Physical and emotional stress reduction
Pain control and management
Tension headache relief
Grief and mourning processing
Weight control and smoking cessation
Connection to and healing of patterns that no longer serve
“One of the things I am most grateful for regarding my sessions with Joni, is the “tools” she has taught me. I utilize those tools on a regular basis.”
